Moussa Marega, Alfredo Morelos and Fernando Llorente make up a list of three strikers West Ham are considering signing, according to The Daily Star.
The Hammers have broken their record transfer fee to sign Eintracht Frankfurt frontman Sebastien Haller, though have seen a number of forwards depart, so may have spaces in the squad available.
Having been the first choice at Porto last season and linked with Chelsea and Manchester United in the past, it is uncertain whether the Mali international would be willing to potentially play as a back-up to Haller.
Meanwhile, Morelos had a brilliant goalscoring record last season for Rangers, scoring 30 times in 48 matches across all competitions and picked up where he left off at the beginning of this campaign, scoring four goals in 94 minutes across two Europa League legs against Gibraltian side St. Josephs.
However, his disciplinary record last season will be of concern, as he picked up 16 yellow cards and five reds. Still, he may be more affordable than Marega, with The Daily Star suggesting he could cost £10 million.
He started 11 games in all competitions, coming on as a substitute and scored eight goals, with Harry Kane acting as Spurs’ main striker.
In terms of the money spent on Haller and the fact the Irons are previously reported (Daily Star) to have a fairly small transfer budget, Alfredo Morelos seems like the most realistic option.
While the Scottish league may not be as strong as the top tier of English football, the Colombian has been talked about in glowing terms by the likes of James Rodriguez and Radamel Falcao, so is clearly highly-rated.
Indeed, if Pellegrini can help to tame the Colombian then he could end up being a very useful player to have at West Ham, considering his record up in Glasgow.
