West Ham: Lots of fans on Twitter seem to think David Moyes’ arrival means relegation

West Ham United have appointed David Moyes as their new manager, giving the Scot an 18-month contract at the London Stadium (@WestHam).

He replaces Manuel Pellegrini in the dugout after the Chilean was sacked following their 2-1 home defeat against Leicester City on Saturday (BBC Sport).

The 56-year-old has of course previously managed the Hammers, taking charge in 2017 following the dismissal of Slaven Bilic.

That time he managed to save the club from relegation to the Championship, guiding them to a 13th place finish before they ultimately decided to let him go and replaced him with Pellegrini (BBC Sport).

The initial remit for him will be similar this time around too, with the club finding themselves in 17th place and just a single point above the relegation zone (BBC Sport).

However, it seems that most football fans think that the ex-Everton manager will not manage to repeat the feat this time around.

Indeed several have been saying on Twitter that they now believe that the Hammers will be relegated after hiring Moyes. Here is what some said…
