As quoted by Sky Sports – West Ham’s number two goalkeeper Darren Randolph has thrown his backing behind Croatian manager Slaven Bilic.
It’s come as a demonstration of the kind of togetherness our resident Hammers fans here in the Transfer Tavern want to see from the squad, and their boss after what has been a woeful campaign up until now.
Despite moving into a new stadium, signing plenty of new players and attempting to qualify for the Europa League things have fallen flat on their face so far for the men in claret and blue highlighting the need for them to stick together on and off the pitch.
Certainly, some of our fans here by the bar have wondered whether it might be time for the Croatian to pack his bags and let someone else sort things out before it’s too late, but the Irishman Randolph is in no doubt that the former Besiktas man is the right horse to back right now:
“I’m 100 per cent behind the manager and I’ll continue to work as hard as I can on and off the pitch to help turn things around.” Randolph said.
The Hammers travel to Manchester United this weekend as they aim to recover from a shocking turn of events at White Hart Lane last time out.
They are currently just a point above the drop zone and know only a win will really do right now.
