West Ham and Manuel Pellegrini will desperately want to gain momentum as they enter the New Year.
It’s been an up and down year for the Hammers, as they finished 7thin the annual Premier League, yet find themselves adrift of their top ten aspirations currently – with West Ham placed in 11th.
They spent an awful lot of money over the summer and Manuel Pellegrini will be hoping to soon have a full squad of players to pick from, in the hope of moving up the table once again.
£100 million worth of signings hasn’t completed West Ham’s team, far from it. One position they have identified that is due for an upgrade is the right-back slot.
Despite being very young and relatively unproven apart from this season, Norwich’s Max Aarons could be a risky signing that turns out to be very worthwhile.
Aarons, (who is valued at £225k on Transfermarkt) is just 18-years-old but has been phenomenal for Norwich this season, making 22 appearances thus far.
Few had heard of the youngster a few months ago but his quick appearance in the first-team has been delightful for all to watch.
For an 18-year-old, he has tremendous maturity to his game and could soon blossom into England’s next best right-back in a few years to come.
West Ham then, would be delighted to secure such a talent if they pushed hard enough to see off competition from the Premier League’s big guns as Pablo Zabaleta isn’t getting any younger.
