West Ham will be inclined to dream now that they are constantly improving under the stewardship of Manuel Pellegrini.
The Hammers, considering they lost their four games this season, have been on an upward trajectory in recent weeks, quashing any opponents who lay in wait of them.
With several fantastic showings of just how ruthless their front-line can be, the concern now lies with the goals West Ham still concede, despite a vast improvement from last season.
Manuel Pellegrini reportedly wants a right-back with Pablo Zabaleta now unable to play every game at his age and because of Ryan Fredericks’ injury.
There are plenty of options out there but none would be as good as Juventus full-back Mattia De Sciglio.
De Sciglio, who is valued at £12.6 million on Transfermarkt, would make a vast improvement on the options that West Ham currently have available to them.
Not only can he play as a right-back but also as a left-back, another position of concern for the Hammers.
Why would he leave Juventus though? Considering the options Juventus have, De Sciglio has had limited opportunities in the starting line-up, with only six appearances in total this season.
Clearly, he is a talented player if the Italian giants signed him in the first place but with the ability to play regular football at a club growing bigger in the Premier League, it’s an opportunity not to be passed up on.
If West Ham sign the correct players during the January transfer window, they will rightly fancy their chances at a high finish this season.
