West Ham youngster Nathan Holland has been the subject of numerous loan offers from Football League clubs, according to ExWHUEmployee.
It has been reported that Bolton Wanderers are one of those interested in taking him on for the season.
Holland has played for West Ham U23s 33 times, scoring seven goals and assisting 10, as per Transfermarkt.
He also created history as the first player to score at London Stadium in an U23 game, as per West Ham’s official website.
The 21-year-old has pedigree at youth level for his country, having previously represented England from U16 to U19 level.
However, he hasn’t yet had much of a chance to step up into first-team football, with his only game time coming in the final 28 minutes of a 3-0 win against Bolton Wanderers in the Carabao Cup in 2017.
He has made the West Ham bench on four other occasions, with the most recent of those coming in April 2019 at Old Trafford, when the Hammers lost 2-1 against Manchester United.
Working towards becoming a first-team regular this season seems like an unrealistic goal given Holland’s lack of opportunities in recent campaigns. He just does not appear to be in the picture, explaining why a loan move is potentially on the cards.
With this in mind, it is a good idea for him to test himself in the Football League, as it will allow him to make a more convincing step up into senior football, ready to stake a claim upon his return to London Stadium.
