West Ham have had a really poor start under Manuel Pellegrini but the Premier League-winning manager is probably one of the only managers best equipped to get them out of this mess.
On paper, the world has rarely seen Manuel Pellegrini fail but having made the worst possible start to life at the London Stadium, a failed move is already been suggested.
A lot has added together to form a miserable season for West Ham so far but their inability to defend remains as their biggest problem. January could be a game-changing month and if they make the right moves, they can hope for a resurgence up the table, should they recruit a left-back of Dalbert’s standard.
The Brazilian, who is valued at £10.8 million on Transfermarkt, is a left-back that should potential come true, be far superior to Aaron Cresswell and Arthur Masuaku in a defensive role and with electric pace going forward, the 24-year-old could provide competition for places going forward as well.
Dalbert was once a very-highly rated left-back when at Nice in France but the move to Inter Milan hasn’t exactly been the progressing stage he would have hoped for, considering Dalbert only made 13 league appearances last season, in which just 5 of those were from the start.
Manuel Pellegrini needs to still figure out his best Hammers side but with the addition of Dalbert, his defence could be more stable and pose more of an attain threat when the full-backs are allowed to get forward.
It has the potential to be a long, hard season for West Ham but with the right additions in the January market to improve on flaws in the team, they should get themselves back on track.
