West Ham rival Premier League’s elite for exceptional forward

The West Ham United fans are playing pool in The Transfer Tavern this evening are discussing reports linking them with a move for a new striker.

CalcioMercato are reporting that the Premier League side have joined a host of clubs interested in bringing Boca Juniors man Jonathan Calleri to English football.

Reports suggest that West Ham have already made contact with players representatives and are hopeful that progress can be made with regards to a move.

West Ham find themselves desperately light in the final third following injuries to Dimitri Payet, Manuel Lanzini, Victor Moses, Diafara Sakho and Enner Valencia.

Calleri has notched 21 goals in 53 games for Boca Juniors, and West Ham will face a battle to get hold of the player should a bidding war break out between the numerous clubs interested in the player.

The West Ham United fans in The Transfer Tavern are delighted that the club are interested in bringing a new forward, but are hopeful the club won’t pay over the odds should a bidding war commence.
