Former West Ham and England goalkeeper Rob Green joined Mark Chapman on BBC's Football Daily podcast and discussed Lukasz Fabianksi's blunder against Liverpool.

The Hammers got so close to toppling the giants at their own home ground but, as they so often have this season, the Reds clawed fought back and continued their supremacy of the Premier League. Indeed, the Irons were leading 2-1 at one point but a blunder from their goalkeeper, who let the ball go through his legs and into the net, gifted Mohamed Salah an equaliser..

Still, Green believes this is something that happens from time to time and he doesn't expect Fabianski to repeat his mistake in the future. Here's what he said for BBC's Football Daily podcast (25/02/2020): "After a game like today, you turn around and go - boys Lukasz isn't going to make those mistakes again this season. And it's stuff like that you can write off. When you get beat like that today, it is so frustrating. But these things happen over a season."

While the mistake was a glaring one from the former Swansea custodian, he's clearly a hugely important figure for the Hammers and Green is right to back him. Indeed, he was voted the club's player of the season last year and The Guardian noted back in November that his side looked 'lost without him during his injury lay-off earlier in the campaign'. Furthermore, as per the Premier League's official website, the Poland international made the most saves of any 'keeper over the entirety of the season (148), proving his worth.

West Ham fans, are you furious at Fabianski for making that mistake or do you also see it as a one-off? Let us know in the comments below!
