It’s been thoroughly miserable for the West Ham fans this season as they make their way back from the London Stadium to drown their sorrows in the Transfer Tavern.
Looking bereft of the sort of quality so prevalent last year, the Hammers are in the relegation zone amid problems both on and off the pitch at their new home.
Now, reports from the Sun suggest manager Slaven Bilic is fighting to save his job at the club.
Previously a darling of East London, the former Croatia boss reportedly has just THREE games to convince top brass he’s up to the task.
Guiding them into 7th place, he was one of the most charismatic bosses in the Premier League and introduced a more expansive style of play to the club.
However, just one win in their opening six games have seen the 48-year-old enter uneven ground with a side he also played for during his younger days.
It’s thought he simply must win at least one of the upcoming games with Middlesborough, Crystal Palace or Sunderland to keep his job.
“If there wasn’t a win after these three games the decision would have to be made”, said a course to the club.
“He is set to get players back and that will help a lot. Draws won’t be good enough for him though.
“But you can’t go on losing game after game without having to make a big decision.
“We cannot be in a position by Christmas where we are playing a serious catch up game.”
