West Ham fans in the Transfer Tavern have endured a disappointing season and they’re now surrounding the bar discussing the wealth of changes they expect during the summer transfer window.
Whilst the majority discuss potential new signings, a fair amount of fans are also debating which members of their squad need to be moved on and a debate has emerged surrounding the potential exit of one man.
The London Evening Standard states West Ham boss Slaven Bilic is due to hold crunch-talks with Andy Carroll at the end of the season, due to the striker’s continued struggles with injury problems that have played his career at the London Stadium.
Carroll is an important member of the Hammers squad when fit but has struggled an incredible amount this season, having missed West Ham’s last two games with a groin injury – and a similar problem kept him absent in February.
With just 12 games completed this season, our landlord feels West Ham desperately need a more reliable option up front but he’s concerned that there wouldn’t be many suitors for Carroll’s services.
The Hammers fans here in the Transfer Tavern think Carroll’s time in east London may be up, and thinks that the club will look to seal a deal for a new striker this summer.
Should West Ham oust Carroll this summer? Let us know in the comments below!
