The West Ham fans in the Transfer Tavern are quite distressed knowing that their team are still well involved in the relegation scrap. It’s been a poor season and one that could still yet get worse…
David Moyes is a man not liked by many and that really isn’t helping things for West Ham at the pinnacle stage of the season. This is a time for unity and togetherness with all involved with West Ham but already people have become distant from the club they once loved.
If they manage to revive their fortunes at this vital time, West Ham need to address a number of positions this summer – none more so than the centre of midfield.
Our punters are really hoping that the Hammers have one eye on Marseille’s Andre Zambo, who is valued at £10.8 million on Transfermarkt. The 22-year-old has been the ultimate enforcer for the French side after featuring in more than 50 games for them thus far.
The Cameroon international is calm on the ball, has a brilliant passing range and loves to break up play with big tackles.
These are three characteristics that should turn West Ham’s attention straight to the powerhouse, as he’s exactly what they need, especially considering West Ham’s underperforming midfield.
West Ham need reinforcements this summer and arguably the most important position they must amend is the defensive midfield role.
With no one offering enough protection to the defence, its no wonder that West Ham have conceded the most goals in the Premier League this year, but Andre Zambo would massively improve the Hammers current set-up.
