West Ham slap £15m asking price on in-demand forward, Swansea keen

While the West Ham fans in the Transfer Tavern are far more concerned about potential East London arrivals, it looks as if their beloved Irons will be busy on all fronts in this summer’s market.

Hammers ace Enner Valencia is the subject of a bidding war between the Premier League’s own Swansea City, and Serie A side Lazio according to reports from The Mirror.

Those in East London are said to have set an asking price of £15m for the Ecuadorian forward, which both sides are struggling to meet at this time.

Lazio are in the hunt for a replacement for Miroslav Klose and are reportedly looking to take the 26-year old on a loan deal with the option to make the move permanent at a later date.

However, the Irons are believed to be only interested in a straight up transfer which would allow them to make some profit on the £12m they invested in the forward two years ago.

Premier League rivals Swansea are said to have offered £10m plus £3 million in bonuses but the Hammers are understood to be holding out for a better deal as they look to raise funds for a marquee replacement.
