West Ham squad want deal pushed through quickly after ugly episode

It was quite amazing for the West Ham United fans propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern to watch their side FINALLY enjoy playing at the London Stadium as they smashed Sam Allardyce’s Crystal Palace over the course of the weekend.

In light of the ugly Dimitri Payet saga, the Hammers seemed to be playing with a huge amount of weight off their shoulders without the presence of the Frenchman as the likes of Andy Carroll and Manuel Lanzini proved he’s not the only one capable of changing games with sublime skill.

So, after a campaign where the team has looked anything but united so far, our east London locals are actually HAPPY to read reports from the Daily Mirror today. They’ve claimed that a number of Irons stars want the outcast 29-year-old sold ASAP after he refused to play for the club.

Despite endearing himself as the sort of hero the club had been waiting since his arrival last summer, it seems those in claret and blue are ready to move on already if he’s going to strop. With that in mind, it’s understood members of Slaven Bilic’s squad feel the Les Blues playmaker has burned his bridges at the club.

A return to former club Marseille is being touted for the French star and his teammates are thought to want that to happen in January, rather than keeping him until the summer.

Are West Ham dealing with Payet exactly how they should? Let us know below…
