The Democratic Republic of Congo international was one of four Premier League players to make it into their Team of the Weekend, for his performance in the 2-0 victory over Norwich City.
He features alongside names such as Sergio Aguero, Virgil van Dijk, Timo Werner and Benjamin Pavard.
Masuaku was handed the Man of the Match award by WhoScored with a rating of 8.8, having provided the assist for Sebastien Haller’s opener and helping to keep a clean sheet.
The 25-year-old’s defensive contributions included an impressive 6 successful tackles, as well as 2 clearances and 2 interceptions.
Going forward, he completed 2 of his 3 attempted dribbles and maintained a pass success rate of 92%, while also making 2 key passes.
This was his best performance of the campaign so far, with his previous highest WhoScored rating being 7.7 against Watford.
This was a superb performance from Masuaku, which was the case for many men in claret and blue on Saturday, including Haller, so it says a lot that he managed to stand out.
It is important he now maintains a level of performance close to this one, as West Ham hope to add more clean sheets to their first of the season.
Both he and Aaron Cresswell were inconsistent last campaign, as shown by the fact they started 19 and 18 Premier League games respectively, so if he can continue with this type of showing he will likely be the club’s undisputed starting left-back.
