West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice has sat out of training for England, as reported on their official Twitter page.
Rice has proved to be a key player for the Hammers this season, playing every minute of their Premier League campaign so far, as per WhoScored.
Regarding his defensive ability, in those games, he has averaged 3.8 tackles, 2.3 interceptions, 0.6 clearances and 0.4 blocks per game.
In addition to that, the England international has averaged 1.3 dribbles per game in claret and blue, while also completing 89.5% of the passes he has attempted.
So while many England fans choose to criticise Rice, those at West Ham often back him, enjoying the contributions made by the 20-year-old and marveling at his talent.
Having Rice available for the Everton game is a definite boost for West Ham, due to how important he is for the way the team operates.
This is arguably an especially important time to have as many players as possible available, as the Hammers look to bounce back following the loss against Crystal Palace before the international break.
