A lot of West Ham fans are delighted with the latest rumours suggesting that Carlos Sanchez will leave the club in the summer, (via Football.London).
The Colombian signed on a free transfer from Serie A side Fiorentina in August 2018, via Transfermarkt and his contract in East London expires in the summer. The reports claim that West Ham have no intention of extending the midfielder’s current deal and will therefore release him in the off-season.
He has only played 13 times in the Premier League whilst having no goal contributions since he joined, via Premier League. His defensive stats aren’t great either and this season he is averaging 0.2 tackles and 0.3 interceptions per game in all competitions (WhoScored).
It seems like the most logical idea is to let him leave in the summer given his lack of appearances combined with the fact that he is already 34-years-old, Transfermarkt.
West Ham also currently have Declan Rice, Jack Wilshere, Mark Noble and Tomas Soucek who can play in that position so it seems like fans wishes will be granted and the player will depart.
Here is how some fans reacted to the rumour:
Carlos Sanchez will almost certainly leave West Ham in the summer.

Should never have been there in the first place, a complete waste of space, wouldn’t make the first 11 of a decent league one side.
