West Ham United: Fans love Ludek Miklosko’s comments about the club - West Ham

Former West Ham United player Ludek Miklosko has been talking about the club, and he has received a lot of praise from the fanbase following his comments.

He was the first ever player from the Czech Republic to come to the Premier League, via West Ham, when he moved from Banik Ostrava and he thoroughly impressed, making over four hundred appearances in all competitions from 1990-1998, via Soccerbase.

He is clearly adored by the Hammers faithful, who have a chant for the goalkeeper which they still sing to this day. Clearly the adoration is mutual as Miklosko said, via West Ham: “It’s great that still, after all these years the fans still sing my song. It gives me such a great feeling. I think, through all my years, I had a very good relationship with the fans at West Ham United, and I want to thank them for that.”

He then played for QPR from 1998-2001, via Soccerbase, for the last few seasons before retirement, but he will always be remembered more in England for his great career in East London.

It seems like fans did not just appreciate him for what he did on the pitch but also for how he acted off the pitch, as one fan tweeted: “As a player, an ambassador and a person he was exemplary. Ludo had big gloves to fill because Phill Parkes was also excellent. The club was lucky to have him.”

Here is what fans had to say following his comments:
