West Ham United: Fans not keen on signing Krzysztof Piatek

West Ham United are in pole position to sign Krzysztof Piatek in the January transfer window, that is according to a report from Italian news outlet Sport Mediaset.

The Polish international striker is current at AC Milan but apparently wants to leave the Serie A club who recently re-signed Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Having paid €35m for the 24-year-old a year ago, it is thought that Milan want €32m if they do sell him this month in order to avoid making too much of a loss.

Piatek has struggled at the San Siro this season, scoring just four times in 18 league appearances, 14 of which were starts (Transfermarkt).

Prior to that though he was one of the most feared strikers in Italy, scoring 30 times in 42 appearances for both Milan and former club Genoa in the 18/19 campaign (Transfermarkt).

So he certainly does have goals in him, which is what the Hammers need at the moment with Sebastien Haller having only managed to net six league goals this term (Transfermarkt).

They have also been linked with Brazilian striker Gabigol (Daily Star), but he is also of interest to Chelsea.

It seems that most West Ham fans aren’t too keen on signing Piatek though, probably due to him poor form in the current season.

Here is what some had to say on Twitter…
