West Ham United: Plenty of fans heap praise on Declan Rice after Everton draw

West Ham’s 1-1 draw with Everton on Saturday meant they’ve now only conceded two goals in the last four games across both the league and FA Cup. That’s some improvement compared to the first three games in November, for example, when they conceded eight. Fans have noticed the difference and Declan Rice is taking the praise.
The 21-year-old has played in all of the Hammers’ games so far this season and in the five Premier League games since Christmas, his WhoScored rating hasn’t dropped below 6.7/10. Football London said he “broke up play time and time again” on Saturday and that he was “never flustered”. He seems to be showing maturity beyond his years.
After the draw, the club’s Twitter account posted a link to his interview with the club where he commented on how David Moyes is encouraging fast-paced football, and fans were quick to praise him for his recent form. Many replied to show gratitude for his effort and to show their desire for other players in the side to show more of the same quality and spirit.
“The manager is always encouraging me to play forward and switch the ball quickly, but he’s been really good not only for me, but for the other lads as well, because he says it how it is and wants everyone to improve.”

You can see some of their reactions to the tweet below:
Every game this lad gets better, by far the best player at the club. By the time he’s 25, injuries prohibiting he’ll be on top of the world.

Dec and Fornals are both improving with every game. Moyes pushing the lads is showing but the subs aren’t coming early enough. Yesterday we should have had lanzini and noble off around the 60 mark, Nobes just doesn’t have the stamina any more and Lanzini not working hard enough.

Another class performance from this man. Week in week out he’s immense, needs some support in the transfer window though…

If we tell the other 10 we might be on to something…

I see him gradually adding bits to his story game, every game I see him.
