West Ham United: Fans would like club to sign Max Aarons in January - West Ham

West Ham United would like to sign Norwich City right-back Max Aarons, that is according to @ExWHUemployee who was speaking on the West Ham Way podcast (18th December 2019).

The 19-year-old has been a regular for the Canaries in the Premier League this season, starting 15 of their first 17 fixtures (Transfermarkt).

He is a highly rated young prospect who has already been capped by England five times at under-21 level, with his latest appearance coming against the Netherlands in November (Transfermarkt).

Meanwhile, right-back has been a problem position for the Hammers of late. Ryan Fredericks is the current first choice but he hasn’t had the best season, as he has lost possession on average 14.1 times per game whilst also winning just 48.9% of his aerial duels (SofaScore).

His backup is Pablo Zabaleta and whilst he has been a quality player in the past, at 34-years-old he is now past his best and therefore the club need to find a replacement.

That could potentially be Aarons and it seems that signing the youngster would go down very well with the majority of these Hammers.

Indeed plenty of them have been reacting to the rumour on Twitter and the general consensus is that he would be an excellent signing…
