West Ham United striker set for potential exit as Championship side eye move

According to The Sun, Leeds United are interested in signing West Ham striker Ashley Fletcher causing the Hammers fans here in the Transfer Tavern to demand Slaven Bilic starts giving him more playing time.

The Hammers signed Fletcher from Manchester United ahead of the Whites in the summer, but so far he has not featured as much as he would have liked with just one substitute appearance in the senior side to his name.

Instead, he has spent most of his time with the Premier League side playing for their U23’s and it appears Garry Monk’s men from Elland Road think they can offer him more playing time.

The Yorkshire side are currently tenth in the Championship table, three points behind Bristol City in the final play-off place and beat Wolves at the weekend 1-0 at Molineux.

Should they sign the former Manchester United man he would be competing with Chris Wood for the starting spot up top.

Our landlord thinks this would be a fantastic signing for Garry Monk’s men, and feels he could be the man to help guide the Yorkshire club into the top six of the Sky Bet Championship.
