It might have been a poor Premier League season in the end for Cardiff City, but their performances were enough to impress other teams in the division.

The likes of Neil Etheridge and Victor Camarasa have been tipped to return to the English top-flight this summer with moves to teams in the league after performing well for the Bluebirds, and the latter has caught the eye of Manuel Pellegrini.

According to the Daily Mail, the Hammers are interested in the Spanish midfielder, who was at Cardiff on loan from Real Betis, and although Camarasa’s parent club are yet to make a decision on the playmaker, it is likely the 24-year-old could be sold on a permanent basis this summer, and West Ham have to ensure they are the team to secure his signature.

The former Cardiff City man, who is valued at £5.4 million on Transfermarkt, has the creative quality that West Ham have lacked in the middle of the midfield this season, with Declan Rice doing most of the defensive heavy work and Mark Noble not being up to his usual best this campaign. Camarasa, though, would change that.

At 24, the Spaniard has room to grow into a top-quality playmaker in the Premier League, and after a full season already in the English top-flight, Camarasa already has the experience to flourish under Pellegrini in what is looking to be an exciting 2019/20 campaign for the east London side.

West Ham fans, would Camarasa be a good signing this summer? Let us know!
