West Ham United fans in the Transfer Tavern will be urging their side to try and get a deal done with one of their fierce London rivals if they maintain their Premier League status.
The Hammers look as though they will be able to survive the drop to the Championship after two consecutive positive results against Southampton and Chelsea and they could be about to head back to Stamford Bridge as they look to add to their side for next season.
The Telegraph are reporting that Danny Drinkwater is to consider his future at the club after he has found it difficult to break into Antonio Conte’s plans in his first season with the Blues and West Ham are one of a number of clubs to be on alert.
It remains to be seen if the former Leicester City man will leave the Stamford Bridge outfit, with the likely departure of the Italian boss, however, should he want to depart Chelsea will likely want to recoup almost all the £35million they spent on him last summer.
The West Ham fans in the Tavern would be delighted to see Drinkwater be added to their squad, as the 28-year-old would add experience, whilst also feeling a void left in central midfield. However, it could be difficult for the Hammers to match the valuation Chelsea hold, which gives the locals fears that they could be priced out of bringing him to the London Stadium.
