West Ham’s next planned deal is their most important so far

West Ham fans in the Transfer Tavern are delighted with their sides summer activity so far and they’re excited to see what else may be around the corner.

The Hammers have bolstered their squad significantly with the additions of Joe Hart, Pablo Zabaleta, Marko Arnautovic and Javier Hernandez, whilst they secured an important piece of business towards the back-end of the season by tying Michail Antonio down to a new contract.

That was a major statement of intent from the Hammers, as it ended reported interest in the England man, and Slaven Bilic’s side have similar plans for the next few weeks with Manuel Lanzini- as they look to fend-off interest from Liverpool.

The Argentine ace has become an integral part of Bilic’s side in East London and the thought of losing the South American is difficult for fans to comprehend, as he’d be extremely difficult to replace and would also undo some of the quality work the club has done this summer.

In reality, West Ham are unlikely to keep Lanzini for the long-term and interest could rise further next summer if he’s involved with Argentina in the World Cup and has a solid tournament. However, the new deal means the Hammers would be able to get a decent return for their investment.

A four-year deal is being mentioned in the press and our landlord believes it would go down as West Ham’s most important piece of business so far this summer.
