West Ham United fans here in the Tavern are less than pleased with how their season planned out, and it doesn’t look as if this month is getting any better for the Hammers.
Sadly, West Ham United struggled to ensure consistency last season and flirted with the possibility of relegation at times, so they’ll count themselves lucky not to have suffered relegation to the Championship.
The month of June will need to be a big one for the Hammers with plenty of improvements to be had, so Manuel Pellegrini will need to get a bit of a move on.
It’s important that the Hammers bring in a couple of players in key positions after welcoming Ryan Fredericks to the club, but a deal doesn’t seem close for another player at this moment in time.
Therefore, June could turn out to be a nightmare month if these TWO things happen…
Fail to sign Joe Hart replacement
Joe Hart was horrific in between the sticks for the Hammers last season, as he was one of the main reasons behind their poor defensive record in the Premier League.
Indeed, finding a replacement for Hart is arguably the most important piece of business that Pellegrini needs to complete this summer.
And, it doesn’t look as if the Hammers have made any great efforts to lure a replacement to the London Stadium, so this could cause all sorts of problems as the summer transfer window progresses.
Marko Arnautovic has been one of the Hammers’ standout performers in recent times, with 11 goals and eight assists to his name in the campaign just gone.
However, it’s understood that Manchester United are interested in signing the Austrian. This has raised concern as the 29-year-old is one of West Ham United’s main attacking outlets, so they could be in deep trouble if they end up losing him this month.
Therefore, supporters could be about to witness one of the worst months in the club’s history if he ends up departing.
