West Ham fans in the Transfer Tavern are declaring their side needs an array of top-class arrivals during the close-season, which has left them scratching their heads at one particular deal.
Reports indicate that the Hammers are keen to give Lincoln City defender Sean Raggett his chance in the Premier League, after he excelled with the non-league side this season; helping his side secure promotion to League Two and reach the FA Cup quarter-finals.
A bargain deal of £120k is being suggested but many fans don’t feel it’s the sort of business they should be doing, especially as they already have talented young defenders ready to take the step-up to the first-team in the form of Reece Oxford and Oliver Burke.
Naturally, they’ve reacted angrily to these reports and have accused the club of pinching the pennies once again, declaring that they should be eyeing far more superior players- and our landlord admits it’s difficult to argue with them on that front.

The board seem insistent in signing someone from the lower league and get rid of our own youth who are measurably better. Stupid targeting.

Decent player would only be put in development squad I guess! Bargain though to be fair

I love signings like these. 120k was payets weekly wage. No risk involved and if it dont work out, we could probably sell him for 500k.
