Liverpool managed to keep their title dream alive yesterday by securing a dramatic 4-3 victory over Crystal Palace in front of home support at Anfield.
The Reds have been the dominant force in the Premier League this season, but fans will be wary at this stage in the season as Liverpool managed to throw away a previous title chance under Brendan Rodgers.
Interestingly, it appears as if the Merseyside club won’t be securing the services of Weston McKennie after all, as according to the Evening Standard, Liverpool are unlikely to move for Weston McKennie in the summer.
Indeed, The Sun reported that Liverpool were interested in a £20 million move for the midfielder.
But, it’s now thought that the Reds current hold zero interest in McKennie at this moment in time.
Jurgen Klopp is believed to be happy with his central midfield options and, as such, is not planning to bolster his ranks in that position in January.
Meanwhile, a summer move for McKennie also appears unlikely, with both Klopp and sporting director Michael Edwards eyeing alternative targets in that position.
The United States international has managed to appear seven times on the international stage, including an appearance against England at Wembley last year.
There’s no doubt that the central midfielder is one of the hottest prospects in Germany, but a move in the summer looks doubtful as the Reds are already weighing up other targets.
