‘What a bargain’, ‘Masterstroke’ – Ecstatic Arsenal fans react to club’s latest deal on Twitter

The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are buzzing with the news that Bernd Leno has become Arsenal’s second signing of the summer after the club official announced he will join the club yesterday afternoon. The German shot-stopper will come in alongside Petr Cech and David Ospina to fight for the number one jersey at The Emirates.

Leno has been one of the Bundesliga’s top ‘keepers throughout the six and a half seasons that he’s been a Bayer Leverkusen player. The 26-year-old shot-stopper has been linked with a Premier League switch for a while now and has finally made a move to England. Unai Emery has kept himself busy since taking the Arsenal job and will be keen to get more signings on board after securing the services of both Leno and Stephan Lichtsteiner.

The Emirates will be an exciting place for fans next season, with Emery putting his own spin on the way the club play football, although it will be strange for Arsenal fans to watch an Arsenal side without Arsene Wenger in charge. Hopefully, the Spanish tactician can make some more signings in North London to reflect his style of play. Leno will be looking forward to taking on a new challenge and it will be interesting to see how he can impact his new club.
