Liverpool’s attack is full of quality at present, but is there a chance that even more talent could be at Anfield next season? We recently made the case that Harry Wilson, Liverpool’s attack that is currently at Derby on loan, is ready for a return to the club.
He’s enjoyed a fantastic campaign with Derby County, with Frank Lampard making the most of his talents, and the Englishman is getting better with every passing week.
It seems as though many Liverpool fans have been impressed, too. We recently asked the Anfield faithful whether they expect to see Wilson back at Liverpool next term, and a whopping 97% of those polled have revealed that they are expecting him to move back to his club.
Wilson, though not yet on the level of Mohamed Salah or Sadio Mane, has proven his worth as a talented attacker with bags of energy, set-piece ability and offensive drive, and he’s undeniably been one of the Championship’s best players.
Would he come back and demand a starting berth? Certainly not, but over the course of next season, he’d be a valuable asset for Liverpool – and the fans clearly expect him to have a role to play.
