The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are over the moon after reading an update on the fitness of Mohamed Salah on the Liverpool website. The update states that the Egyptian’s lay off shouldn’t exceed three weeks and that if all goes as expected then he should be fit to face Uruguay in Egypt’s first group game in Russia.

Moh Salah suffered his shoulder injury last Saturday in Kiev when Liverpool took on Real Madrid. The Reds lost the match 3-1, although an injury to their star man in the first half severely limited their chances. Salah was subbed with a shoulder injury after a challenge with Sergi Ramos saw the forward land awkwardly on his arm, although fortunately, the star will be fit for Russia.
Egypt face Russia, Uruguay and Saudi Arabia in their World Cup group and if they progress they’re likely to face either Spain or Portugal from group B, with a rematch of Ramos against Salah a huge possibility. Whilst our local Kopites will be delighted to see Salah back in action, the last thing they’ll want to see is their star man rushed back and have his injury provoked, as they prepare for the start of the 2018/19 season in August.

Happy…really happy for him..he surely deserves it, even if I doubt that he will be able to play at his full potential…such a pity, and all for the outragious unsportsmanlike behavior of a "champion" named Sergio Ramos..and as usual, UEFA let's him get away with it.Depressing
