The Manchester City fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to comments from Dimitri Seluk. Seluk is the agent of City’s legendary midfielder, Yaya Toure. The Ivorian is out of contract with the Premier League champions this summer although he supposedly wants to stay in England, leading his agent to advertise his services.
Dimitri Seluk to Sky Sports News: "Yaya is happy to accept a one-year deal to stay in England. And if his club are not satisfied with his performances, he will pay back half his wages, or the club can cancel his contract immediately, with no compensation." pic.twitter.com/ed2tv5F33z

Despite this, the City fans aren’t happy with the way that Seluk has gone about getting Toure a new club. At the age of 34 it’s fair to say that the midfielder is past his best, although with his Rolls Royce style of play, outclassing and outmuscling the opposition, he would still be a fantastic fit for more than a handful of Premier League teams. Sluk has claimed that the ex-Barcelona man wants to prove he is still the best central midfielder in the league.
Even though he claims Toure wants to continue to prove himself, he has sold the midfielder cheaply. Seluk claims that the 34-year-old will pay back half of the wages he earns from a one-year deal if the club he signs for are unhappy with his services at the end of the year. Toure could also find himself getting his contract terminated with no compensation, meaning it could a rough deal for the Ivorian if he is to stay in England to continue his football.

hawking him around like a cheap second hand car. Yaya is a rolls royce and deserves better than this spiv of an agent.

A bold statement

If Seluk wants to gain any credibility from football fans, then set up a realistic pay as you play contract with a team like West Ham, without it getting either player or very greedy agent a signing on deal. Yaya has done City proud but also earned enough for the privilege

Seluk so naturally belongs to the Mourinho-Raiola-Mendes troika.
