Everton will still have their sights set on securing a European spot in the current campaign, with a long way to go in the Premier League.
The Toffees’ recent form suggests that there’re a number of areas that require improvement. One position that Marco Silva could do with strengthening is at right-back, as Seamus Coleman turns 31 this year and he’s struggled to ensure defensive solidity at times.
Interestingly, it appears as if the Merseyside club already have their sights on a possible swoop, as according to The Sun, Everton remain interested in Crystal Palace’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Nevertheless, the 21-year-old has established himself as one of Europe’s most promising full-backs in the current campaign, so it comes as no surprise that the Toffees are still interested. He loves to get forward down the right-hand side and whips a dangerous ball into the box, as well as keeping things tight at the back, so he would be adored by fans at Goodison Park as they’ve thoroughly enjoyed Lucas Digne’s attacking presence this season.
Marcel Brands has already made a number of impressive moves since being appointed as the club’s director of football, but sealing a deal for Wan-Bissaka may just be his best piece of business yet as the Toffees face competition from a number of big sides and he has the potential to become a future star.
