Portsmouth managed to book themselves into the fourth round of the FA Cup last time out as they caused an upset by beating Norwich City 1-0 at Carrow Road.
Pompey are also going strong in League One at this moment in time, with the title and automatic promotion well within their grasp.
However, with Kenny Jackett getting the very best out of a number of his players at Fratton Park this season, it has caught the attention of a number of clubs higher up the Football League.
Indeed, Jamal Lowe has reportedly attracted the attention of West Bromwich Albion, Leeds United, Middlesbrough and Nottingham Forest in recent times, so a January transfer window exit could be in the offing.
So, Jackett should already have his eye on a potential replacement for the winger.
The Welsh international didn’t enjoy a very successful time of things earlier on in the current campaign at Sheffield United as he struggled to secure regular minutes. And, with his immediate Liverpool future in doubt due to his lack of first-team football and performances, perhaps a loan move to Portsmouth would sort him out.
Woodburn has plenty of potential and has already shown that he can score goals and create in the Premier League and on the international stage, so he could prove to be a real asset in League One. Both him and Jamal Lowe love to take on their man and cut inside to get a shot off, so he could definitely slot right into his place.
