Wolverhampton Wanderers will be desperate to move on after their recent defeat against Manchester City, which saw Willy Boly receive a straight red card.
The Wanderers have defied expectations under the guidance of Nuno Espirito Santo in the current campaign, after a dominant title-winning season in the Championship last time out.
Indeed, one player who has been the source of all things brilliant for the Midlands club is Conor Coady.
However, his rise in form has caught the eye (as per the Daily Mail) of a number of Premier League clubs, including the likes of former side Liverpool and Unai Emery’s Arsenal.
But, Wolves are looking to counter the interest that is starting to filter in as it has been reported that the club are preparing to offer him a new bumper deal at Molineux.
Wolves have been linked with a number of players already this month and will no doubt go on to secure at least one signing in preparation for the second half of the season. But, Fosun would arguably secure their biggest piece of business yet if they manage to secure a new deal for the central defender this month.
Of course, securing the services of Ruben Neves and Rui Patricio was special for the Midlands club, but they could both be replaced one way or another, despite establishing themselves as heroes already.
Whereas, Coady has established himself as one of the standout performers in the Premier League this season, along with becoming a fan favourite, leader and an overall spokesperson for the club, so his presence is priceless.
The 25-year-old has even worked himself into the England reckoning with his performances this season, as Gareth Southgate continues to keep a watchful eye over the impressive defender, who managed to put in another dominant performance against Manchester City recently, despite the result.
Wolves just wouldn’t be the same team or operate in the same style without the Englishman in their ranks, as his performances and influence at the club will inevitably crown him a Wolves legend in the future.
