Leicester City would open so many doors if they manage to secure a European spot in the current campaign, as it would allow Brendan Rodgers to go out and bag a number of big-name players.
Indeed, the Midlands club have been completely transformed by the Northern Irishman in the Premier League and he’s brought a sense of happiness to the King Power Stadium.
Also, it appears as if he’s already looking to make moves on the transfer front, as according to The Sun, Rodgers still rates Daniel Sturridge and is plotting to sign him in the summer.
Of course, the Englishman’s Anfield future looks to be over as his contract is set to expire at the end of the current campaign, so it makes perfect sense for the Foxes to move for him.
Sturridge is earning £130k-a-week at Liverpool, according to Spotrac.
Jamie Vardy has been simply sensational once again in the current campaign and he will no doubt lead the line at the King Power Stadium for the foreseeable future. But, Sturridge could definitely add an awful lot to the attacking ranks at Leicester City and could even move ahead of Shinji Okazaki and Kelechi Iheanacho in the pecking order.
Brendan Rodgers could pull off a masterstroke by bringing him to the King Power Stadium as he managed to get the very best out of the forward during his time at Liverpool. Indeed, it’s safe to say that the Foxes could reach new heights if Sturridge rediscovers the form he showed under Rodgers at Anfield, so supporters should be excited.
