West Ham United have been hugely impressive in recent times as they continue to come on leaps and bounds with defeat against Manchester City being their only negative.
The Hammers can still challenge for a European spot this season, which would certainly provide David Gold and David Sullivan with plenty of incentive to spend big in the summer transfer window.
It’s understood that the striker could be available for as little as £13 million in the summer. Roma have decided against offering Edin Dzeko a new contract with his current deal due to expire in 2020, so they’ve accepted that this summer could be their last chance to secure a decent fee for the Bosnia and Herzegovina international.
Edin Dzeko has been very impressive over in Italy in the current campaign as he’s managed to produce 12 goals and seven assists, which includes five goals and four assists in five Champions League matches.
West Ham United’s biggest problem in the current campaign has been at the pinnacle of the attack as the likes of Javier Hernandez, Michail Antonio, Lucas Perez and Andy Carroll have failed to produce goals on a consistent basis. Indeed, this has had a negative effect on the Hammers’ season, especially with Marko Arnautovic struggling as well.
So, Gold and Sullivan can solve a major problem by bringing Dzeko to the London Stadium in the summer as he’s a proven goalscorer, having produced over 250 goals during his career. And, with previous experience in the Premier League from his time at Manchester City under Manuel Pellegrini, it really is a no-brainer.
