What does the future hold for Isco at Real Madrid?

Arsenal currently find themselves sitting outside of the top four on goal difference, so they’ll need to start turning one point into three if they are to keep up with their rivals.

The Gunners won’t accept anything less than a place in the Champions League this season, having had to settle for Europa League football in recent times. So, with the January transfer window on the horizon, perhaps Unai Emery will think about bringing in a world-class player that can take them to the next level.

One player that has been linked with a move to the Emirates is Real Madrid’s Isco, as Arsenal are believed to be interested in bringing him to North London.

Indeed, the Spaniard is arguably one of the most talented attacking midfielders in the whole of world football, but the 26-year-old has been marginalised under Santiago Solari and could look for a quick exit.

Isco has a £620 million release clause in his contract after signing an improved deal in August 2017, so this would be a rather ambitious move for the Gunners to make, even though they will be looking to complete a deal for a much lower fee.

Unai Emery is said to be a fan and is looking for another creative spark with Mesut Ozil struggling to produce in the Premier League at this moment in time. And, with Spurs also keen on completing a deal for the attacker, Arsenal could upset their bitter rivals if Sven Mislintat launches a raid on the Spanish giants at some point in the near future.

Ozil has been one of the biggest disappointments under Emery this season, as the Gunners have lacked creativity in the final third due to his below-par performances.

However, Isco has the ability beat a number of players before putting the ball on a plate for one of his teammates, as well as finding the back of the net from distance and making use of his electric pace and quick feet, so he could easily make up for Ozil’s inconsistencies in the side.
