What does the future hold for Piotr Zielinski at Napoli?

Manchester United have been simply brilliant under the guidance of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with their consistency worries now firmly behind them.

Solskjaer has managed to bring a sense of belief and happiness to Old Trafford since taking over from Jose Mourinho. And, their recent run of positive form has even boosted their Champions League push, with Chelsea and Arsenal now within touching distance.

Ed Woodward has managed to build a very strong squad at Old Trafford but Romelu Lukaku’s inconsistencies have made things difficult, and Jose Mourinho’s tactics didn’t bode well during his time in Manchester.

Indeed, one thing that supporters will be desperate for their side to achieve in the near future is a repeat of Sir Alex Ferguson’s glory days. The Scotsman managed to secure 39 trophies during his time in Manchester, including 13 Premier League titles, two Champions League trophies and a number of other domestic and European trophies.

He will forever go down as a Manchester United legend and has proved to be impossible to replace so far, but United are certainly looking promising under Solskjaer having won six Premier League games on the bounce.

Jesse Lingard has operated in the false 9 position since Solskjaer took over, which has definitely benefited their overall style and productivity in the final third. But, Paul Pogba is currently Manchester United’s only central midfielder that really excels at producing the final pass, so in order for United to make their next step to achieve success they’ll need to bring in a playmaker to help boost the creativity levels in midfield areas.

One player who would help the Red Devils secure future success at Old Trafford is Piotr Zielinski.

The Poland international was dubbed (as per TuttoMercatoWeb) as the next Kevin De Bruyne by former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri during his time in Naples.

He stated this:

“He is an absolute talent, he also has great physical skills and if he grows in the level of personality, he can play in any area of the court, the new De Bruyne.”

Indeed, the 24-year-old has established himself as one of the hottest products in world football, with his pace, passing, vision and ability to find the back of the net making him a very similar player to the Belgian.

De Bruyne has quickly developed into one of the best attacking midfielders in world football, so bringing in a player who has been tipped to grow into a world star is a no-brainer, especially given Zielinski’s performances in recent years.

Ed Woodward should go all out to sign the Napoli man, no matter the price. He has produced three goals in the current campaign and scored seven goals and three assists last season, but those stats don’t reflect his ability as he offers so much more on the field. He’s pivotal in the Italian giants’ build-up play and his long-range passing ability has helped Napoli go up another level in the final third since he joined the club.

So, the Red Devils could soon see a repeat of Sir Alex Ferguson’s glory days if Woodward goes all out to sign the highly-rated midfielder, as the likes of Anthony Martial, Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford would thrive off his service and he isn’t far off becoming a world star at this moment in time.
