Liverpool have come on leaps and bounds under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp, but they still haven’t been able to secure an elusive trophy.
Anfield can be a hostile place when things aren’t going right, but things have been almost perfect for the Reds in the current campaign as they find themselves in an incredible position to secure their first ever Premier League title.
However, a number of players in Klopp’s first-team squad have been criticised for their lack of quality so far this season, which has put pressure on him to make the right selection choices.
But, one player who has always put in world-class performances for the Reds is Mohamed Salah, who continues to provide valuable contributions in attacking areas. And, the Reds may already have a long-term replacement for the Egyptian lined up, as Manchester City gifted Liverpool a promising winger back in 2016.
Liverpool signed Rafael Camacho from Manchester City, and Steven Gerrard has tipped the youngster for big things.
Jurgen Klopp used the youngster regularly during the Reds pre-season, and he repaid the manager’s trust in him with a number of impressive performances. The 18-year-old is a winger by trade, but he has shown his versatility during pre-season with Klopp using him as a right wing-back at times.
The Portuguese winger has been on absolute fire in the Liverpool youth ranks this season, having produced five goals and seven assists in just 13 appearances, so he is definitely one to watch for the future. He is very similar to Salah in many ways, with pace, close quarters dribbling and skill being three of his main attributes.
So, the Reds appear to have already found the perfect player to replace Mohamed Salah in the long-term on the right-hand side at Anfield, with Camacho making all the headlines having produced an astonishing amount of goals and assists in the Premier League 2 and the UEFA Youth League.
