“Where’s the Southampton way gone?”, “Listen to the fans” – Southampton fans pile pressure on manager

The Southampton fans in the Transfer Tavern were once again calling for Mauricio Pellegrino’s head after they failed to win yet another Premier League match. Southampton surrendered a two goal advantage away at Watford as a late but controversial goal cost them the three points.

James Ward-Prowse had struck a brace to fire the Saints into a two goal lead at half time at Vicarage Road and they finally looked like they were set to end a barren streak of nine Premier League matches without a win. But Watford fought back and claimed a point.

Andre Gray reduced the deficit to just one and then the Hornets pressed for the final half hour of the match. They were finally level in the 90th minute as Abdoulaye Doucoure forced the ball home with his hand but it was not spotted by the match officials.

Southampton fans flocked to Twitter after the match to call for Pellegrino to get sacked. Here are the best tweets.
