Why Arsenal would just be best to let go of this £55million superstar

It’s been a tough year for Arsenal and manager Arsene Wenger, who oversaw a disappointing Premier League campaign that saw the Gunners finish fifth last time out.

Despite an encouraging FA Cup win, results at the Emirates are certainly more geared towards the league these days, especially considering the fact the club won’t be playing Champions League football next season.

But moving forward, sorting out the players that remain on the club’s roster should certainly be deemed more of a priority and there’s one man residing at the Emirates who’s future we think needs to be resolved sooner rather than later.

The man in question? £55million-rated forward Alexis Sanchez, who continues to dominate the headlines around the country.

He’s raised eyebrows all season-long for both good and bad reasons but moving forward, he’s a player that on the whole, has shone throughout his time in North London.

But with all transfer talk still geared around him and his future at the Emirates and his contract set to expire next season, he’s a man that we think should cut ties with Arsenal and move on, for the sake of both parties now.

This is a transfer saga that is showing no signs of ending and whilst we agree that selling to a rival should be an absolute last resort, the prospect of him leaving is going to become very real next summer, so why not accelerate a deal and try and get the most money for him now?

Quite simply, it’s because Arsene Wenger is under so much pressure from supporters. He needs to somehow get them back onside and flogging their key man just wouldn’t appease anyone in the slightest right now.

But for the sake of moving on, recouping further transfer funds and accelerating pre-season activity, we think it’s a move that right now, would certainly be for the best.

Arsenal fans- what are your thoughts? Best to keep hold as long as you can or sell whilst you can get some money back? Leave your thoughts down below!
