The Aston Villa fans in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to the news that their Ivorian striker, Jonathan Kodjia, has returned to training after an injury setback. Aston Villa currently sit 4th in England’s second tier and look destined to finish the season in a playoff place as the Birmingham club aim for promotion this season. The Villa fans had the news broken to them via a tweet from Villa’s official Twitter account.

Aston Villa looked set to challenge Cardiff for second place as they beat Wolves 4-1 at Villa Park, leading many fans to tip the Villains to make a swift Premier League return. Although two successive defeats to the lesser fancied QPR and Bolton have taken Villa’s fate out of their own hands, they now sit seven points off of Cardiff and the Welsh side also have a game in hand over Villa.
Steve Bruce’s side look more and more likely to be chancing the playoffs for promotion this season. The saving grace for Kodjia and co will, be the strength of the side of their current side. The Villa Park faithful have got one of the strongest teams in the division and the return of Kodjia to Bruce’s disposal will do their hopes of returning to England’s top flight a world of good. Kodjia has become one of the league’s most feared forwards and when coupled with the in-form Lewis Grabban, Villa Park will be expecting goals in their upcoming home games against Reading, Cardiff and Leeds.

Will be a huge boost for the whole club to see him back. Just hope he is ready and not rushed back.

To little too late IMO maybe if we had not thrown away the last 2 games he would make an impact in the final push but now too much pressure on him
