‘Will play the West Ham way’ – Manager report has Irons fans delighted on Twitter

The West Ham fan in the Transfer Tavern have been reacting to a report from Pauta that claims Manuel Pellegrini is set to be announced as the club’s next manager after David Moyes was sacked earlier this week. Pellegrini is just one of those who’s been linked with the vacant Hammers job, alongside the likes of Rafa Benitez and Claudio Ranieri.

Manuel Pellegrini has Premier League experience after he spent three years at Manchester City, winning the Premier League and the League Cup in his time in Manchester. Prior to his time in England, the Chilean was an established La Liga manager, having taken charge of Villarreal, Malaga and Real Madrid in his nine-year spell in Spain between 2004 and 2013.

West Ham have struggled this season. The club looked like they’d be involved in a relegation battle up until the end of the season, until David Moyes took charge of the club, got Marko Arnautovic firing again and pulled the club clear of the drop zone. Now though, after the ex-Manchester United and Everton manager has walked from his post at The London Stadium, it’s opened the way for a new man to take over and try to drag The Irons up the table and become a stable mid-table club.
