The Football Transfer Tavern will definitely be full of Man Utd fans during this week…
Much has been made in the Tavern over the last 10 days regarding Manchester United’s recent poor form.
Three defeats back-to-back-to-back have lead to harsh criticism from the United faithful towards their team, with Jose Mourinho receiving the brunt of the abuse.
Many in the Tavern feel that it is his poor managerial choices that are costing the Red Devils – and the Portuguese manager is already running out of time to make things right.
Of course, Mourinho’s Man Utd tenure is still a fresh and only just beginning – but the pressure is really beginning to ramp up on him.
To make matters worse, as revealed in a Tweet – the worst could be yet to come for Mourinho’s men.
Over a period of 10 days in October, United will face four games which, our landlord feels, could define his tenure at United.
First up is an away trip at Liverpool, followed by a home game against Fenerbache – which will be no easy task.
Next up is an away tie at Mourinho’s former club Chelsea – before they finish the month at home to Manchester City.

With Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City all enjoying good starts to the Premier League this year and Europa League games always difficult to judge – it will be a very difficult period for Mourinho.
The United fans in the Tavern are claiming that 7 points from those 4 games would be the minimum expectation for Mourinho – so he definitely has a lot to prove.
Our landlord thinks that failure during that period could spell disaster for Mourinho and his tenure in Manchester…
