Curtis Tilt has been tipped for a move to Rangers by the Scottish Sun who believe Gerrard has identified the Blackpool defender as an ideal alternative to Cooper.
Although he is smaller than Cooper, Tilt is a commanding physical presence at the back who would undoubtedly install further solidity into Rangers’ back-line.
A natural left-footer by trade, Tilt possesses an eye-catching technical ability for a defender who only recently made the step up to League One from non-league football in June 2017.
He is sometimes guilty of overplaying from the back, but the confidence he has within his own ability should hold him in good stead to succeed at Rangers if he eventually makes the switch.
