West Ham United fans here in the Tavern will be praying that their side can ensure consistency in the next campaign, as they flirted with the possibility of relegation for large parts of this season.
Manuel Pellegrini has already proven that he has what it takes to secure silverware in the English top-flight, having won the Premier League title and two League Cup trophies during his time at the Etihad. So, many of our local residents will be hoping that he can ensure success at the London Stadium, as they haven’t enjoyed the best of times since moving from Upton Park.
However, the Colombian will need to sort out any underlying problems in the side by offloading a couple of underperforming players. Indeed, having worried about relegation for large parts of this season, there’re lots of improvements to be had.
With that in mind, it’s time these TWO flops left West Ham United…
The Mexican has been arguably one of the biggest transfer mistakes in the club’s history, as he was one of the main reasons behind the Hammers’ lack of potency in front of goal.
Indeed, it looks as if the former Manchester United forward will be moving away from the London Stadium this summer, as he failed to live up to expectations in what was a disastrous campaign.
So, the search for a new striker will go on for the Hammers, with many of our local residents urging the club to sell Javier Hernandez.
West Ham United signed Sam Byram from Championship side Leeds United back in 2016, but he has failed to live up to the hype since making the move as his career has come to a standstill.
It’s fair to say that the Englishman didn’t really manage to make the most of his limited opportunities in the side, as David Moyes opted for experience over youth this season.
