Wolverhampton Wanderers have had a summer to remember with their recruitment drive during the transfer window.
The Molineux outfit had already added the likes of Raul Jimenez and Rui Patricio to their squad as they look to compete in the Premier League, as well as turning a number of their loan stars into permanent acquisitions following their Championship-winning season.
However, it looks as though Nuno Espirito Santo has pulled off one of the biggest coups of the summer, with the club announcing on their official website that they have signed Joao Moutinho in a deal thought to be around £5million.
The midfielder is extremely experienced and has played at a number of high-profile clubs throughout his career, as well as having won the European Championships with Portugal in 2016.
The 31-year-old has a winning mentality, having lifted numerous trophies during his time at Porto and AS Monaco, which would only help to add to Wolves for their upcoming campaign.
The signing of Moutinho is a real coup for Wolves this summer as they look to send a message to the rest of the Premier League this season.
Nuno’s side have been quietly impressing everyone with their signings during the transfer window and will make a number of teams take notice of them.
Moutinho’s vast amount of experience will help give some of the younger players confidence around the team, whilst the midfielder himself will be looking to make a real impact for his new side.
