Yesterday was once again a famous day to remember for Wolves in the Premier League as they continued to show that they’re worth their salt in the top flight. This campaign is the West Midlands club’s first back in the top flight, yet they have a better record of any non-big six team against the top teams, and once again it was Raul Jimenez who starred.

The Mexican striker was the man of the moment, yet again. In his 86 minutes on the pitch against Chelsea the 27-year-old put in a disciplined performance that you’d expect from a top striker as he grabbed the game’s opening goal. The on-loan hitman linked up beautifully with Diogo Jota to score, and he had the Wolves fans begging him to sign permanently as he wheeled off to celebrate.
So far this campaign, it’s incredibly difficult not look at Raul Jimenez as one of the signings of the season. Nuno Espirito Santo played a blinder by bringing in the Mexican, and in 30 Premier League outings his return of 12 goals and seven assists is nothing short of phenomenal. His recent form is even better too, as the 27-year-old has either scored or assisted eight times in his last eight games, making him one of the top flight’s most in-form stars.

Wolves fans everywhere are desperate for Jimenez to stick around at Molineux and it’s hard to see why he wouldn’t given his performances and the affection from the fans.
