Wolverhampton Wanderers will be desperate to kick on and secure a European spot this season, having enjoyed a very successful time of things up until this point in the Premier League.
The Midlands club could do with bringing in an attacker to help provide more quality at the pinnacle of the attack, with Raul Jimenez lacking support at times this season.
Interestingly, it appears as if Nuno Espirito Santo already has his eyes on a possible swoop, as according to Sport 24 (via Birmingham Mail), Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in signing Sardar Azmoun.
Wolves are interested in signing Rubin Kazan striker Sardar Azmoun.
He has scored 27 times in 43 games on the international stage for Iran, as well as producing five goals and four assists domestically in the current campaign.
However, it has been suggested that Wolves aren’t the only interested in a move, as the likes of Bayer Leverkusen, Club Brugge and Zenit have also been linked.
Sardar Azmoun, who is valued at £8.55 million (by Transfermarkt), has been enjoying a rich vein of form recently at the Asian Cup with his home country Iran, scoring four goals to help his side reach the semi-finals.
The Midlands club are in desperate need of a forward who has the ability to ensure a consistent flow of goals, and Azmoun looks like the perfect man for the job having scored freely on the international stage and domestically in seasons gone by.
